You can now use Edyt in a browser tab without an account. It also marks hard sentences, adverbs and passive voice as you type, and the Prompt Library is open to everyone.

Edyt isn't on the Mac App Store. Here's the actual reason: the thing Edyt is built around doesn't work inside Apple's sandbox.

Edyt launched on Product Hunt on September 22, 2026. Here's the demo video, the launch page, and a discount code that doesn't expire.

Rewrite now has a companion, Alternatives, that shows you several versions instead of one. Edyt can also read text it can't select, like PDFs and screenshots. Plus a new shortcut that brings the toolbar back whenever you need it.

What tokens mean in Edyt's free plan: what a token is, what gets counted when you use Edyt, and how the free allowance works.

Edyt puts AI inside every app on your Mac. Select text, press a shortcut, and rewrite, explain, translate, or run your own prompts, right where you write.
